The end of season Fun Day turned out to be an overwhelming success. The social club was full to bursting & not even the weather could spoil the day. Shaun Goater was the guest of honour and despite the fact it was his wedding anniversary (which he'd forgotten about) he stayed for almost 3 hours. He spent almost 2 hours signing autographs & having his picture taken with his adoring fans. James H Reeve then introduced on to stage in the main room where he received a standing ovation & chants of "feed the goat". The branch had raised money for the Shaun Goater football in Bermuda Appeal, which he gratefully received. He explained what kind of difference the money can make to the young kids in Bermuda. He also told the assembled masses of how much playing at Maine Road has meant to him over the last 5 years.

All in all the branch donated cheques to the tune of approx. £8000 pounds, including one for nearly £4000 pounds for the Children's Hospital Appeal Fund which raises money for all local Children's Hospital. Thanks to everybody who contributed, especially to those how donated gifts.
