MEETING AT MAINE ROAD
Aide was invited down to Maine Road by Steve Knott of the Fans Committee for a meeting with John Wardle and Alistair Mackintosh to discuss the recent board room resignations of Chairman David Bernstein and Director Chris Bird. There were about twelve fans present, representing different supporters' branches, etc. Mr Wardle spoke very openly of his disappointment at both resignations, but stated that both men had made up their minds and nothing was going to change them. John Wardle answered all the questions put to him and
reassured everyone that he and the rest of the board, along with Kevin Keegan, would be doing their utmost to bring success to MCFC. I, for one, left that meeting feeling very optimistic, Come on you blues!!!
LET'S GET READY TO PARTY!!
At a recent meeting down at Maine Road, some of the plans for the last day at Maine Road were discussed before the match. Players from past decades will be on the pitch to say a few words. Kevin Keegan wants the players minds to be or the game as it could have a bearing where we finish in the Premiership (what do points make? ... prizes!) Any fireworks tickertape/balloons will be kept to a minimum (if any) so the players can get a win in our last match at Maine Road. Talking of balloons .... IF EVERYONE STAYS IN THEIR SEATS AFTER THE MATCH AND NOBODY RUNS ONTO THE PITCH there will be a lap of the ground by the players to say thanks and goodbye to Maine Road. Then there will be a surprise entertainment event for about an hour after the players have left the pitch. You will not be disappointed!! BUT ALL OF THIS IS DEPENDENT ON EVERYONE STAYING OFF THE PITCH. DON'T BE A BALLOON .., STAY OFF THE PITCH. Let's all have a good day and show the Reds how to party!!
Cheers Aide
THE KIPPAX A YEAR ON
I've always had a soft spot for the Kippax, she is like an old friend. Over the years it has had a "makeover", now after a lick of paint here, and a lick of paint there, the Kippax looks great. You are always made welcome and can have a good laugh, especially after a few drinks. I can't remember the number of times I've sat on the Kippax, oh happy days!! To view the Kippax's top tier is fantastic, it is a view I have experienced on many occasions. If you have tint got a head for heights, it can be quite hairy.!!
The month of April will see the Kippax another year older ... I would like to wish JULIE KIPPAX A VERY HAPPY 35TH BIRTHDAY ON APRIL 20TH.
Have a good day, best wishes from Aide xxxx
Congratulations on passing your examinations, well done.
